Williams County - Williston, North Dakota

North Dakota Oil Country
Oil was discovered in northwestern North Dakota in 1951. Since then, pump jacks like the one shown can be seen (and heard) throughout the oil region.

I have to admit I really don't think about oil in North Dakota, so it was rather interesting to learn about.
