It was not until 1970 that anyone considered making a sport out of throwing Cow Chips. The World Cow Chip Throwing contest is held the 3rd weekend in April each year in Beaver, Oklahoma in rememberance of the early day pioneers.

Visitor's to Alaska's Bear Creek Winery can enjoy fine wines made from local Alaskan fruit and berries - Blu Zin (sounds good to me), Strawberry-Rhubarb, Balck Currant, Raspberry and Rhubarb to name a few.
