The resotred cartywards of the University
Sent via postcrossing.com - it will be a great addition to my university collection also.
Catching up on my posting
As though it hasn't been too obvious already. I finally have been able to do something after taking care of my dad's declining health since May 2009.
I've been trying to make sure that the cards are up. I had been collecting them in a basket and trying to post as time permitted.
Thanks for your patience in looking for your card to be posted.

Kiyomizudera Temple, Kyoto - Kiyomizudera was founded in 780 at the request of Sakanoue-no-Tamuramaro. the main hall of this temple, built in 1633, is famed mainly for its wide wooden veranda in front, potruding over a steep cliff, from which a panoramic view of the city can be seen.

Fairbanks Borough - Fairbanks, Alaska
Snowy Owlets
Snowy owls live on the Arctic tundra year around. they nest directly on the ground because there are no trees in the Arctic. Baby owls, known as owlets, are fed by both parents and within eight weeks are ready to leave the nest. In the summer, snowy owls are brownish with dark spots and stripes but they turn completely white in the winter.
This was sent by the Fairbanks Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Update - Sad News
I'm sorry I haven't been around lately - my dad went into the hospital last Thursday and then came home on Tuesday this week with Hospice. He died in the early hours on Friday.
He was ready and just wanted to get home to be with family.
Believe I 'll off for a little bit longer - will make sure that prize is awarded for the Magic Carpet Ride Contest.
