Canada, British Columbia – Richmond (Steveston)

Marine Life
Orcas (Orcinus orca). The Orca, also known as the killer whale, swims in coastal waters and occasionally in open seas. It is very intelligent, easy to train, and unafraid of approaching ships. It can swim at a speed of up to 35 mph and will make huge leaps out of the water. Weighing in at nine tons, its dorsal fin can reach 68 inches and its total length up to 30 feet.

What a wonderful thing to do Whale Watching. I was lucky enough to get this one from the Vancouver Whale Watch.
