A Month of Letters (What an idea)
Oh, alright. I’m in!
Do you want to play? Here are the rules:
1.In the month of February, mail at least one item through the post every day it runs. Write a postcard, a letter, send a picture, or a cutting from a newspaper, or a fabric swatch.
2.Write back to everyone who writes to you. This can count as one of your mailed items.
Want me to write something to you? Wouldn’t it be fun to get a letter, on paper, or a package of some kind? Email me at suefitz AT yahoo DOT com.
That’s all you have to do. I’ll send you at least one physical correspondence of some kind. If you’re not in the US, no worries! We have this wonderful thing called Air Mail. And wouldn’t it be fun to get a letter from overseas???
And here’s a link to the person who thought this all up: http://www.maryrobinettekowal.com/journal/month-of-letters/
Thanks to Missive Maven or pointing it out. In case she thinks no one raads her posts it was actally at the tell end of a postcrossing.
I figure this is a good way to get caught up in postcrossig. I was bad and didn't sent any out in January. I also feel this is a great way to add to my autograph collection. I collect auto'd sports cards, author bookmarks and bookplates.
Good luck to you all and hope you join.
As of 01/09/10 I have 258 counties out of 3141 and 43 countries out of 224.
As of 12/30/09 I've sent out 9120 request.
PO Box 3108

*Please have the postcard postmarked and sent from within the country or county it is to be representing.
*If the postcard could be about the county or a city within the county or country it would be great. Make it as interesting as possible – if postcard doesn’t exist (which is possible for smaller counties or countries) – a postcard of the general region or even the area itself would be appreciated. (I also collect stadiums – especially baseball so if you have one in your area:)
*Please include at least your first name, since I scan the postcards for the blog. If you don’t want your name posted (especially your last name), please don’t right it down
*If you want me to add a link to the blog about your area, business, or a personal website let me know and add it to the postcard. I do try to add the links to the visitor’s bureaus that I’ve emailed.
*Most of all thanks for helping me with this venture. It’s always fun to see what people think is the most interesting spot or area where they live.
